Disney Magic For Couples

Everyone knows that Disney is the ultimate vacation for families, but when was the last time you went as a couple without the kids? Disney is more than just the parks. They have something that appeals to everyone from the hopeless romantics, thrill seekers, informative vacations, music and sports lovers or just a way to relax and chill out. My husband and I decided to take our first vacation as a couple to Disney and rediscovered our love for all things Disney during that trip. In fact, we love it so much we got married there! While planning our wedding, we wanted to add some special touches while celebrating with friends and family. One way we did this was by taking our entire wedding party on a private boat to view Illuminations at Epcot. We had an incredible view and a relaxing boat ride before and after. We had our bachelor and bachelorette parties at Downtown Disney where there is a host of different activities for every interest. To get ready for my big day, my bridal party took advantage of the spa services at the Grand Floridian resort. Every bride needs a little extra pampering for her big day. Meanwhile, the guys took advantage of the greens at Disney, and got to golf 18 holes at one of the 4 golf courses that Disney has to offer.

Since our magical day, we have returned to Disney several times to celebrate our anniversary. During each trip we celebrate the magic of our special day by trying something new that Disney has to offer. For our 10th anniversary we started the evening by taking a carriage ride around Port Orleans. While it wasn’t Cinderella’s carriage, it was just as romantic and special to us. After a romantic dinner, we finally got to eat the top layer of our wedding cake courtesy of the Grand Floridian bakery. Then we took a romantic walk by the 7 seas lagoon. During other trips we have taken backstage tours at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, enjoyed the Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba and much more.

However, the ways you can enjoy Disney beyond the park doesn’t stop there. Here are just a few more ideas of the many things Disney offers beyond the parks to enjoy with or without the kids.
