There are so many exciting things taking place at the Walt Disney World Resort these days! Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival is officially underway and will continue through May 18th..... Hollywood Studios is gearing up for it’s popular “Star Wars Weekends” which will take place for five consecutive weekends, spanning May 16th – June 15th. Then over at Animal Kingdom, the official groundbreaking for “Avatarland” took place last month. This expansion promises new and exciting attractions as well as evening entertainment , which will be a first for Animal Kingdom. Not to be outdone be the other three parks, we have some fun things to report from the Magic Kingdom as well. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is nearing completion and rumors are circulating that it may be open within the next month or two. Disney Parks has also recently announced a restructuring of the area known as the “hub” which will allow for better flow of traffic and will offer some additional much-needed seating in this popular section where the five “lands” break off from Main Street. But the most exciting news of this week is certainly the debut of the Festival of Fantasy Parade, which replaced the “Celebrate a Dream Come True” Parade. There were many Disney-fans in the Magic Kingdom for the parade’s debut and so far all of the feedback I’ve read has been positive! The parade has been reported to be classic yet modern, with over-the-top floats and a great soundtrack. There are plenty of youtube videos up of the parade already, but I think that seeing it in person is the way to go!

I'm sure the parade is much more impressive on the grand scale, and I'll be sure to report back next month once I've seen it in person!
