Reflections: The “Classic” Disney ships, Magic and Wonder, may be Disney’s older ships but they are constantly renovating and innovating the ships so they never feel outdated. They are a comfortable size so you are never too far from your stateroom or whatever activity you choose to take part in. Because the Magic and Wonder spend their summers in Europe and Alaska, they offer greater variety in their itineraries and length of sailings. I would choose these ships if you are looking for a high-end Disney vacation and the priority of your vacation is the destination you are travelling to. Disney does a great job of incorporating elements of the destinations they visit into all aspects of the cruise experience, including menus, entertainment, and even the Disney characters on board the ship. On the Iceland Norway cruise we saw Mickey and friends dressed in Scottish Kilts in Scotland, a Frozen Deck party in Norway, and a trio of sisters playing Celtic music and Irish dance nightly. The food offerings throughout the ship featured locally inspired selections, like bangers & mash in England. In this way, Disney provides guests with a truly immersive, completely Disney travel experience. animators palatecabin
